Looking to buy my first AR and I had a few questions I was looking for help with. 1)Has anyone had experience with a store/armory named AdTek where I would be most likely buying from? 2)What kind of quality is Mega upper and lower say compared to RRA? 3)What are the advantages and disadvantages of CAR length bs Mid length? Thanks. |

I've never heard of AdTek. You may want to shop around some of ar15.com's sponsors, they're all well-respected companies. Mega is a good quality brand. You're safe with them. Midlength has a less noticeable recoil pulse, making it slightly easier on the shoulder (but the carbine still isn't bad). A negative for the midlength is that handguards for them are typically more expensive than their carbine counterparts. There are no real disadvantages to either, it's mostly preference based on recoil or just being "different" |

I can’t answer any of your questions but once you start shopping around for magazines 44mag.com (one of the sponsers here) can’t be beat, I spent a week looking for magazines and they had the best deal. These are the mags I have and they’re sweet, http://www.44mag.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DHMP They’re only $11.49 a mag and have, magpull self-lubricating, anti tilt followers. |

Most people here consider the Mega Uppers and Lowers to be the best fit and finish in the industry. However, fit and finish have little to do with function. Most all stripped uppers and lowers are exactly the same and do nothing more than carry the parts that need to be of higher quality.' If this guy builds out of Mega receivers, this rifle your after will look as nice as any on the planet. You should ask about the parts you don't see to know if he's building you a rifle that will work as well as any on the planet. |
