A2 carbine, replaced front sight post, now at 25yrds rear sight is at 4 (400yrd) setting to zero impact point to bull (point of aim).

Question ...to move rear wheel back to 100 yrd setting how many turns must the front be turned to maintain POI with POA.

In other words I did not adjust front sight at range but adjusted rear, I now want to readjust the rear to the 100 yrd setting and adjust the front to maintain what I have now.

Any takers??

Wow, thats a good one.  1/4 turn is .25" at 100" IIRC.  With the rear back sight set at 300/800.  So I think screw the front sight down 1-1/2 turns.  I may be completly wrong, but thats how I figure it in my head...

Sounds like a good reason to get back to the range to "finish" sighting it in.

BTW i wouldnt trust any guessing about where my sights are set.

Roger that, I just wanted to be close to save ammo, you know the story.

I was working with several firearms as well as working in a new Spikes .22lr upper, I just forget to finish the job on that carbine.

I stand chastised.

Assuming the usual A2 carbine variables...

I think you lucked out. Leave the front sight as-is.

The trajectory of a 400 yard zero comes VERY close to dead on at 25 yards (and vice versa).

To get a 100 yard zero, just turn the elevation wheel back down to 8/3 minus 3 clicks. Verify at your next outing.
