My TD VG came with 4 black plastic ties. What are these for?

They are used to hold the sliding tabs in the down position so that you can install the grip onto a rail without a third hand. Hold the tab down, and insert the square end of each of the zip ties into the opening, then let go...the tabs will stay down.

you can also tap in a roll pin or dowell pin in the gap and that works as well
