Some enterprising manufacturer should jump on this idea (I will give you full credit)
Intead of inventing all the stupid crap (Like that god awful home made lower)
Here is want I want...

I want a lower with a trigger that automatically resets with out pulling back the charging handle after every shot. it would be a dry fire trainer. I know Glock makes one of these for ther pistols... Why doe someone not make one for an AR.

This would be an invaluable tool for dry fire practice that would allow you to dry fires with just a press of the triggers, then allow you to ease to reset on the sear and then be able to press again.

Alright ... somebody get to it....

shouldn't be hard, it's like a double action only trigger?  Not sure if there's enough travel inside the trigger guard for this though.

How fast do you want it to reset the hammer?  If you would like it to work in real time like  the bolt carrier does in a live rifle would?  Would a pneumatic system be OK?  Do you want something that is a drop in part that replaces the bolt carrier group or would a dedicated upper be ok?  And finally how much would you pay for something like this?

MILO makes one.  We use it to train on.  Before we had FATS.  Milo makes it for sig, glock, and kimber.  Three years ago when the Milo was coming out I was sent to a testing facility for a week to test this device out.  We advised the company that with the recent tranfere from shotgun to rifle there would probably a need for a new trigger system.  LAPD was one of the first departments to purchase this system.  Due to the fact of cost, one or two of these systems are purchased and sent to different areas in the state for different departments to use for a couple days.  If anybody knows anyone that will get the chance to see it needs to try it out.  There is also an option to produce your own scenarios.  So if you want to do an active shooter call at a school.  Have the drama department at the school preform it.  If the money was their for local department one would of been purchased.  Last time I knew the price was about $70,000 might of changed now.  NOT CHEAP.  Possible grants are available.

No, it isn't.  If you have to release the trigger for it to fire a 2nd time, it isn't full auto.

A drop in or a dedicated Lower would be good
There does not even need to be a hammer. I just want a trigger that replicates the firing cycle. One the would reset as realistically as the a normal trigger after it's pressed.

Price wise, I would think anything under $150 would be a pretty decent price point.
I would think a serious of springs would allow portability vs. something pneumatic that would require an air hook up.

This would be a stand alone system and not part of any F.A.T.S. trainer. to allow a guy (or girl) to dry-fire his  weapon without having to re-cock the hammer between every dry fire shot.

If it were pneumatic, something smaller than a PB gun cylinder.

Perhaps maybe a small Oil filled Shock that would do the resetting....

need something to replace the BCG to fit in the upper. 1-2 batteries in the back of it, to power a small electrical motor that pushed a rod backwards when the hammer hits the "switch"

relitivly simple, easy drop in change

maybe a rotary motor that turns a screw, like a garage door opener, to push the hammer back.

or have a spring loaded FP that will "push back" the hammer rapidly as soon as its struck, then the spring is recocked with the motor.

I saw this on Youtube and thought it might be cool. It uses CO2 and a proprietary bolt that drops in your AR.

ooh but that requires you to carry around a co2 tank...

The Dvorak Instruments solution is pretty much what I was thinking of.  I don't see any electrical system working with any speed without plugging it in and then you would have a whole new problem with a torque effect of having a 24v+ servo spinning up then reversing and then stopping that quick.  A pneumatic system is just so effective for something like this and I'd just figure out some way to carry the co2 cylinder on my person in a non intrusive way (maybe something like a drop holster for the cylinder or just stick the cylinder in a camelbak).

Here is the Dvorak Instruments page for their air recoil products.  Don't know anything about them except they are the ppl that are selling the trigger scan.

It's called Airsoft, and for about $300 you can get a pretty accurate representation of a real M4 with close to the same weight.

OR! go to HERE and check out what they have to offer

That Dvorak System actually looks pretty darn interesting. The recoil is a nice touch and I see they have a Air bottle that you can hang on your belt.  I'm going to look into that a little more and see what the price is (which looks like it may be a little more then I want to spend)

As to the Glock training trigger .. I've seen them over at Glock talk and if you google it you can find trigger assemblies that you can by that replace your normal trigger assembly.
