Is there any compensator/brake that can be mounted to a varmint or heavy match barrel that isn't cut with threads?  Something that slides over barrel and uses setscrews or something like that?  I've searched and still have no answer.

Simple friction from set screws cannot reliably hold a muzzle brake or comp in place.  Mechanical retention is needed, such as by dimpling the barrel so the set screws will have something to lock into.
