Long A2 flashider > AR Discussions

I purchased a used AR upper with a 20 inch barrel. It has an A2 style flash hider, but it is about an inch longer than a normal A2 hider. No markings on it or the barrel. Anyone identify it? I have done a search. Looked thru a bunch of pages, but could not find anything. It is about 2 3/4 inches long.

There were some floating around for those with a 14.5 barrel, with the longer A2 pinned on, it met the 16 inch requirement. If you want, I'll buy you a new A2 to trade with you...

Sabre Defense and Kurt Kustom Firearms offer that kind of FH

Yah - but I don't think they were an inch longer were they? Shit, that would be a long A2 FH. I have an extended A2 from Saber and I think it's .200" longer than a standard. 2 tenths makes sense if you think of the 14.7" CMMGs for example that are good to go with a standard A2 FH.

This animal that you speak of is something I haven't seen.

Sounds pretty cool though. I like the FAL's with the long flash hider. Probably looks good an an AR too.
