Stag barrels are only average, but the innards are as good as you can get.  Always a good starting point, and it'll still serve you well if you never add to it.

Love mine.  Got the lower stripped at a gun show, and bought the upper complete offline.  Fit together beautifully.  Their customer service is also excellent.

Who makes their barrels?  In house?  This is an answer that I cannot seem to find.  I have to agree about the barrels being average with regard to accuracy of different loads I have tried....

Are the barrels chrome lined?  Do they have F marked front site bases?  Do they have M-4 feed ramps?

I have had good luck with my Stag I just put together.  And I am very impressed with the fit and finish of all parts.

The 16" barrels are chrome lined, don't think the 20"ers are. The FSB is F marked. No M4 feedramps.

my stag cost me $716 out the door brand new from a dealer, fit and finish was as good as than anything else ive seen, and it shoots 1/2" groups at 100yds from a chrome lined 16" barrel all day long.  Thousands of rounds, 100% reliability.  Buy with confidence.

My original build is off of a MP15A converted to a 15T.  Now I have Stag lowers that I am building off of.  Same qualitty, fit and finish.  I only wish I knew then what I know now and saved myself lots of $$ by building instaead of buying.

a couple of weeks ago there were some threads about "should i buy a stag or not" i was frustrated with the fact that my M4gery upper was going back for the 2nd time and chimed in about my problems with the upper. a couple of guys wanted feedback so here it is, i looks like i was given a new upper instead of a repair which is what i really wanted. also in the box was a OTIS cleaning kit, door to door right at 2 weeks. i'm very pleased with the way they handeled the whole thing. the guys at STAG have my upmost confidence in the future. i hope this helps anyone looking to buy their products, they are top notch

I bought mine in parts but my AR is completely Stag and after going through a lot of different companies first I decided on the Stag and couldn't be happier with my choice.

I bought a STAG 15 Model 1 less than a year ago. I've put about 5000 rds through it with no problems whatsoever!

Accuracy is about par for an off-the-shelf 16" tube... I'm actually quite pleased with the 100yd groups I get out of it!

I'd recommend STAG in a heartbeat

I have a Stag15 lower with a Stag 2h upper and it shoots great with any ammo I put into it.  I highly recommend it.

I have one, had a Bushmaster too, sold it and still have the Stag. I recommend them to all of my friends as a best buy. Customer service is great, weapon quality is above average and value is excellent. What more could you want? I love mine. I have a class coming up the end of this month and don't expect any issues from it except the cost of ammo.

I have a Stag 2H upper and have only run about 300 rds. through it, most of it Wolf, but without a snag so far.  GTG.
