| Opinions on Model 1 Sales out of Texas. Quality of product, Customer service ectra. They have some products I am interested in and would like some constructive comments. |

Search the forums for "model 1 sales" or "m1s." Lots of threads on this exact subject. Mostly good reputation with a few caveats and one or two horror stories. Typical of a economical AR manufacturer. I have built three rifles from M1S (24" varminter, 16" CAR, and 7.5" Pistol) and have been relatively happy. LPKs sort of suck, tho. |

I'm using their 7.5in barrel, hand guard, gas tube, and buffer assy. All seems to be of good quality. They shipped fast too, I would recommend them. Edit: I did not use the other parts because they could not tell me who made them... My AR pistol runs flawless though. |

Ok, we'll see. I ordered a 20" Varmint Upper with a stainless fluted barrel for use as my Coyote rifle. The four legged coyote is the one I am talking about.hanks Mike |

My 2 ARs have M1S upper kits. As long as you understand that they are...um...economy parts and you get what you pay for, you are good to go. After about 2500 rounds on my competition gun, the bolt broke in a match. I have replaced it with an LMT MPI bolt and have a spare for when/if the other rifle breaks it's bolt. I still buy generic parts (pins, springs, etc.) from M1S but I get important stuff (FCG, BCG) from higher quality manufacturers. Gringop |
Same here, I've bought three kits and assembled two other kits for friends and they all have went together and worked perfect. Like monkeyman I don't run mine very hard, they are Varmint and fun guns. |
