| Can someone point me in the right direction on some good quality benchrests that won't cost an arm and a leg. Also it must be able to hold a variety of different weapons, like an AR, M14, remington 700, ect ect. |

I have tried a couple of cheaper rests and settled with this one from Cabela Inventive Technology Sharp Shooter Magnum Rifle Rest It is great for regular rifles but with the AR/AK rifles it can be used but it I am going to modify the rear where the buttstock goes in so I can make it adjustable up and down. I like this one Elite Rifle Rest but have heard that you don't get the fine tuning up and down with the one like I have with the knob in the middle. Here is a picture of mine with my AR and 30 round mag in it. It does lock down solid but would be a whole lot better if I could adjust the buttstock up/down. With the 30 round mag in it is a close fit but doesn't hit the rest. A 10 or 20 round mag would be better...but if I could adjust the buttstock up 3-4 inches it would be great.
