The scratching of the case is 100% normal. If you are following the charging handle then the rifle might be sluggish or fail to completely chamber the round.

ok I figured since it was new that it was normal....Will this continue to do this or will it get better as more rounds i put through the gun?

is it just your feed lips from your mag scratching them as they strip off? thats what i usually see happen

Two places rounds get scratched:

Feed lips of the mag

Locking lugs of the barrel extension

Both, in moderation, are normal.  Hand cycling and or riding the carrier seem to produce the worst, it seems.
