Where's what I got;

1. Bushmaster m4gery
2. BCG that came with it.
3. New LMT enhanced BCG

When I have the BM BCG in the gun I can ride the CH forward and the BCG will go into battery very easly. When I put the new BCG in it wouldn't go into battery if I ride the CH forward. I have to tap the FA or pull the CH all the way to the rear and release completely for it to lock up. I know I'm supposed to release the CH anyway but I was wondering why the new BCG wouldn't go in as smooth as the old one. The BM BCG isn't that old.

Does the new one have tighter specs? Need lubrication? Defective?

Mine fit smooth but a little gritty cause it was new,6000 rounds later its like glass.Pull back and let it go under the recoil spring and buffer pressure and if it locks fine then its just a matter of shooting it to smoothe it out.If your enahnced carrier also has the enhanced bolt remove it and try the LMT carrier with a regular bolt and see if it still does it.The LMT enhanced bolt is a tight tolerance bolt.

new BCG are tighter, shoot it and it will smooth out.

also, don't ride the CH forward, it is made to be pulled back and released.

both of your carriers are normal
