I live in a state that 'bans' assault rifles, although by observing the strict letter of the law it is possible to own an AR-15. If, however, God forbid, one should ever wind up in court having used a weapon in, say, a home defense situation, it would be nice if "exhibit A" for the prosecution looked less like something owned by Rambo and more like something owned by Davy Crockett. Realizing that an AR is an AR, what is the most sporting possible configuration least likely to make an east coast liberal jury think psycho-killer? Does anyone build a walnut-stock AR? Or is something like a Les Baer match rifle as good as it gets as a 'sportsman's' configuration? Thanks for the opinions. I'm a longtime reader, first post though. I've searched the forums but not found this discussion anywhere previously. |

Turns out Mayor Bloomberg is afraid of making any guns "look innocent" - he wants them to look as "evil as possible!" |
