[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How to identify Bushmaster upper Reciever ?

Ok the barrel says BMP but how do you identify the upper reciever ?

I dont think you really can. I would assume that if the bbl and lower are BM then the upper and everything else may be too.

A BM upper just like every upper under the sun(for the most part) will have a keyhole forge mark. but that is not unique to BM or any other company.

I dont think theres any markings on it at all... does anyone have a bushmaster upper with no markings ?

Bushmaster always has the grey baked on coating on the inside.

Excuse me for pointing this out, BUT if ya really want the proper answer ya could just take a look at the "answer" to this very question you have asked......

I do, the only mark on my BM upper is a "Y" on the rear take down lug. I know it is a BM upper because I ordered it directly from them.
