This has been asked but no one seems to know who is using the square mark.  The first time I seen it was last year on the carry handle of a new "tax time" Bushy upper.

One of my new Colt LE6920's had it's carry handle marked like that.  Another one had a cerro forge mark and a "2".....fyi

Yeah this marking is on the actual upper receiver itself. No other forge marks on it.

Dont really need to take a picture, its a square ;) just like shown above.

The square forge code is from "Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises". They supply forgings to Colt and others.

My new Delton kit has the same upper forge mark and the same carry handle forge mark. Sorry for asking what may be a commonly understood marking but who makes and uses the keyhole like the one on that upper?

My new Oly .45acp upper has a single square forging mark. But unlike what AKARS pictured mine looks like each leg is an individual mark laid out 90* to the one beside it rather than a square box.

Maybe Oly's forging forgeries?
