I am having an issue with my AR-15. I was at the range and had a problem. I had a case fail to extract. ALong with this, the bolt is stuck partially out of the bolt carrier. The bolt/carrier will move back and forth in the upper reciever. The bolt is stuck out far enough that I cannot seperate the lower from the upper. I can pull the pins and seperate them, but the back of the bolt carrier is still inside the stock. The upper will not clear the lower. I have tried taking a dewey cleaning rod and driving the spent shell out but no joy. I did not use extreme force, just enough to really whack it. How do I get the bolt to retract back inside the carrier so that I can seperate the upper and lower? Any ideas on the shell casing? Thanks! Sauramen |
