Im looking into an upper from a local place, the tag says, RRA. its $449 and is 16 inches with a regular birdcage fh. regular handguards and is a flat top. I looked it over and there are no markings on the upper, and the barrel is not makred even under the handguards. the barrel is a heavy profile with no 203 cuts in it. its heavier under the handguard. I know this is a pretty bad description but basically what im asking is, does RRA mark all there barrels? should i snap a pic and post it? George

I wouldnt buy an AR from a gunshop. Most likely some hack took a POS upper that might have problems and threw it ontop of a RRA or (insert firearm maker) lower and called it whatever the lower says., I've seen a couple examples of this at local shows. One was a COLT receiver and the upper looked like anyting but a COLT...Even the color didnt match but the goon behind the table had no problem putting a $1499 price tag on it and marking it COLT-LIKE NEW |
If its really heavy, then there is a decent chance it is a RRA upper. They were on special last Dec for everybody (dealers incl). |

Some GUN SHOPS ARE GREAT Depends on if you know the owner well I wish I never moved to SWFL I lost my Gun Smith and dealer who I knew I could count on Just order from RRA if that what you want I like LW upper myself pencil barrel or the UGLY M4 14.5 Now I order from LMT web site Bravocompany Operationparts Both are good place to buy/shop I did order a 9mm buffer from RRA |
