Will just anodizing a part /lower make it stronger thanks |
| I believe anodizing is used to prevent corrosion and in that context preserves strength, but increasing strength--?? The chemical process causes aluminum oxide to form on the surface in a very thin layer, and is not a heat-treat process. I may have miss something somewhere, but I don't think so. |

Do you really think corrosion is an issue with aluminum receivers? Anodizing makes the surface much harder. It may not make a big difference in overall structural integrity but I'm sure it makes a huge difference in preventing all of the corners from rounding off. |
