| I want to put on a flip up front so I don't have to use a riser on my red dot. How hard is it to change the stock front sight/block and install a railed block? Could I do it myself or wold I have to pay a gunsmith? It's a bushy if that makes a diff. |

Just give the base a few firm taps with a small brass mallet and it should slide right off. Also, maybe wrap a little masking tape around the barrel right behind the FSB, just in case your as ham-fisted as me. ETA-Tape is to avoid damaging finish, Remove when done. Double- ![]() |
| OK thanks. I soaked it in some breakfree and it loosened right up and slid off. Any tips for putting on a rra clamp on railed base. Is it hard to line up right? Also how do you get the gas tube out of the front site. It acts like its stuck. Iremoved the little roll pin but it wont budge. Is there something I missed? |

The gas tube can be removed by loosely clamping vice grips on the tube and lightly tapping them with a hammer. As far as the gas block goes, this might help.........www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=359350 |
| LOL I know Olly's are hated on this site but I would like to change the "Cheap" looking front sight with a Low Profile Gas Block. Is there certain measurements one must know about? I have a Button M-4 Barrel by Olly. I see a ton of aftermarket Gas Blocks, some I really like. Do the all pretty much fit the same? |
