I would like to get an AR and I think I would like to get this one:

I was thinking of ordering one with a chrome lined barrel, but since this would take a long time and I am getting ready to be deployed, there is one at a local shop that I am considering. I have a couple of questions though.

How much difference will a chrome vs. chrome moly barrel make?
What difference will not having M4 style barrel make?
How much would the sights it has interfere with optics, since I might use them in the future?

It will be used for plinking and home-defense/SHTF/Zombie Attackhelp

check the ee, there are always great deals to be found from arfcom supporters and you don't have to as wait long.

eta, if i were you i'd get a flat top upper (a3) you'll have the options of choosing your own irons.

Get the flat top. You will be happier with it. Personally, I would get the M4 barrel.

I think I will go with the flat top. And I like the M4 barrel, but what difference does it make, besides mounting the M203? And is the chrome lined barrel just easier to clean and that's it?
