From personal experience I like the RRA NM 2-stage. I have not tried anything else but for the money I have heard the RRA is one of the best.

Care to elaborate? I was thinking about one of those but would love to know what your negative experiences are before I relive them.

My CMC gen ii trigger has a significant amount of overtravel which goes directly against CMC's claims on their website.  It certainly isnt match grade as they claim.  I also sent them 3 emails over the past 4-5 weeks, to the address that they provided, and got no replies.  They only want to do things 'verbally' which, in my opinion, gives them zero credibility. I've given up on them and their product.

As a side note, I've also heard other reports, some posted on this website, of their new genii  triggers still cranking off double/multiple shots.  They claim they've fixed this issue between gen I and gen II but it makes me wonder if they have a fundamental design flaw or just poor quality control.

Good Luck!

While I don't agree with CMC not sending some response to customer emails I can also understand their desire to speak with you over the phone about your problem.  Sometimes it take way to long to diagnose a problem via multiple emails when a 10 minute phone call and clear things up.

I have a Gen 2 trigger in a lower I'm going to shoot for the first time today.  Dry firing the trigger I am pretty happy with it and do not have an issue with over travel,  but I am holding my judgement until I get some live fire time with it.

I have a genII curved single stage and I like it. I've only fired about 900 rounds but it hes worked well so far. No complaints yet. It was a huge improvement over the stock trigger.

sounds like you got one built on a good day.  If you havent fired it yet, make sure you start out with only a couple rounds in the mag at a time until you figure out whether or not you can trust it.

+1.
Go for the White Oak Arms tuned RRA NM trigger. About 120.00. Smooth, around 4-5lbs. You've got to spend a lot more to get a little better. Best price/performance ratio in aftermarket triggers.

Do a search on Geissele triggers. I'm using a NM 2 stage with a way low let off. Way more money. Geissele is supposed to be coming out with an upgraded single stage, suitable for battle rifles, at a decent (150-170.0?) price.

For a Match rifle, Timney, JP, McCormick, and the best, Jewel.
For a battle rile, The White Oak modded RRA NM  2 stage, Geissele, LMT, KNC, and any single stage conventional trigger. Reliability is more important than feel in a battle rifle. I seriously love the WOA modded NM 2 stage. For the price, nothing is close.

Being a trigger snob, I'm running a Geissele in NM config. No worries.

I Like Jewels for bolt action rifles. Nothing like a 1.5 oz. trigger where you can feel the slack, the instant break. Not suitable for an AR though.

Lot's of choices out there.

Unless you need a 4.5 pound pull trigger (CMP SR program).  For target work, a nice JP set up for 1-2 pounds is much better.

In CMP, the rifles can be nearly any weight.  A 2-stage, 4.5 pound combined weight trigger not only meets the miniumums, it also can work.

But on a 6 pound flyweight rifle, the first stage takeup would slow down the trigger-fanning needed in the rapid fire sports.
