Alright,
I'm hoping to trade some stuff to get some lowers.  Anyway, given the choice, which lower would you rather have to build on and why?

Thanks

I'd go with RRA, MEGA, or Sabre.

I like the plain rollmarks on the Sabre.

The finish on the RRA matches most uppers.

Mega's look pretty, but they have a unique texture and color.  They really only match a MEGA upper (which are very hard to find)

If I were refinishing or had a MEGA upper, I'd go MEGA.
If I didnt want a logo, I'd go Sabre.
RRA is generic and quality.

Spikes Tactical or Anvil Arms

Aside from Essential Arms, which ever one you can get cheapest (or trade the least amount of stuff for).  I excluded essential arms because I have no experience with them so I won't group them with the ones I have experience with.

I have two from EA and 1 from RRA.  I will go with EA any day.  The quality is great especially for the price.

EA all the way!

This is the only lower I need.

Sabre for the name factor.  All good lowers are the same, so all your buying is the roll mark and prestige.  SDI hands down.

Mega has all the quality and a really kick ass logo, but not as much name recognition.

Sabre doesn't make my list of "name brand" lowers, even at the bottom. To me, "name brand" lowers are the ones that the average guy who has only a passing familiarity with ARs would recognize. Colt, Bushmaster, and Armalite are clearly "name brand" lowers. DPMS and RRA are borderline "name brand" lowers. I doubt most shooters outside the internet gun community have ever even heard of Sabre. I'm not knocking Sabre, just the way I see it.

To the OP, I'd go with RRA from your list.

I have recently used Sabre, Mega and Doublestar.

I would buy Sabre or Doubstar again.

I avoided RRA due to reports of very tight upper to lower fit.

The very tight upper to lower fit on my RRA went away after a few hundred rounds.  The result was a perfect fit.

Actually I'd just go with the roll mark I like best. Doublestar's Dragon is kinda cool, but overall nothing beats; Colt M4 CARBINE on your lower

TO ME they are all mostly the same

I like NOVESKE LOGO BEST OF ALL

I own Factory LMT DEFENDER 2000 M4 14.5
Bushy/lmt M4 14.5 upper

the lowers are the same Quality

I voted DPMS, mainly because you said "lowers" as in I'm gonna build a few.  I've got 2 dpms lowers that are flawless and have went together real well, but I've also put a couple of cmmg lowers together too that have been 100%.

Really all the lowers listed are good,

Polytech

What eliminated the Mega for you?  I'v eused Mega before, and while the quality is outstanding, I had one of the ones with a tight magwell.  Kind of made me a little leery.  I've built on Ameetec, Mega, and RRA.  I have a Sabre upper (16" middy) and the qualilty is outstanding.

Essential arms are quality forged and the cheapest ive seen.

Have built on RR, STAG, BUSHY, NOVESKE, MEGA.  I prefer the MEGA for the rollmark and the front of the magwell treatment.

The Lower is the part that amounts the least. I even have OLY lowers (the Horror).

Concentrate on Trigger, Bolts, Carriers and Barrel.

anvil arms has a nice one for about $100, plus they will laser engrave any logo you want for free. Check out their site under industry'

it depends on the price, since you are just paying for a name.

I lean towards DPMS lowers
