| I am wanting to buy a S&W15 and I am trying to decide which one I want. I am looking at the OR model and the T model. I want a flat top so I can mount a Eotech red dot on it and flip-up sights as a back to the red dot. My question is would it be better to buy the OR and buy the flip-up sights or pay the extra $400 for the T with them already on there? I do not think I will mount anything on the handgaurds so I really do not need them. I am going to use this gun in IDPA 3-gun match in my local club and maybe a #-gun match every now and then. | The "T" will give you more optics mounting options as well as the ability to mount a VFG, tactical light, and bipod more easily than the non-railed alternative. If there is any possibility of your upgrading as such, the "T" becomes the more economic platform. The Troy accessories are topnotch. |
