Anybody own one and have any pictures they can show me? How do they load? Through the breech when the bolt is open? Or is there a compartment where a magazine would normally be?

It is generally an AR with the gas tube removed.  Every round has to be extracted and the next round chambered by using the charging handle.  A conventional magazine could be used or you could feed each round individually through the ejection port.  Why do you want a single shot AR?  Dumb!

Some states also don't allow semi-autos for any type of hunting, example Pennsylvania.
