Well I can see we are not going to get a lot of info outa you. So you wont get a lot out of us.
A plinker can be anything. Take your pick of any of the brands out there. A 20” rifle would be a good start with a rail instead of a fixed handle for scopes. Get some extra mags and IMO stay away from Wolf ammo.

We do quit a bit of shooting in the backyard. Right now I'm just looking to start into AR's .I did not Know if there is much of a difference in makes. I'll problably start with iron sights but not the handle
