| Why is there a difference in carbine buffer tubes? i.e. different lenths... |
I guess I should have specified a used 6 pos tube. I already have the end plates and buffers, I just need a used tube, spring and nut. Not too many used ones floating around. |
I use both terms but tonight I'm lazy and it's faster to type buffer tube rather than receiver extension. Damn, I can't believe I just typed all of that out. I'm spent! |

I wasn't aware that the number of positions determined the length of the receiver extension. (thanks for the reminder Forest) For example an LMT 6 position is the same length as a VLTOR 5 position, LMT just milled in more "holes". I made myself a custom 9 position fooling around in class which is pretty easy to do if you have access to a mill. Now why in the hell the commercials are longer? I have no idea; just because I guess. |
