i am new to this so if this is a stupid question i am sorry.
i just got a new rock river ar 15. it works fine but all the brass has a small dent about 1/2 inch from the top. about the size of a pencil. i used to have an old bushmaster ar 15 and i never had this happen. any ideas why that is?
regards
chris

Your ejected brass is probably hitting the brass deflector.

hmm maybe i have no idea. i was just surprised that it never happened with my old bushmaster. can i still use the dented brass for reloading?

Not all rifles eject empties in the same pattern.

I’m not a re-loader, but recently asked the same question because I was interested in selling some brass I had saved up. I was told the light dents didn’t hinder re-loading.
