Wondering how good of a buy I made for my dad on an excellent condition Colt Sporter 2 (I know it was a deal because even a beat up "bargain bin" rifle would have been for what I paid).  Here is what I got:

A confirmed pre-ban Colt Sporter 2 (flash hider, bayonet lug, etc.,) with original documentation, unused pin "conversion kit", cleaning kit, 1 unused 30 rd Colt mag and an Okay Ind. mag.

Original owner said he'd put maybe 60 rounds through it, after tearing it down, I doubt it's seen that many.  It doesn't even have any "handling marks" on it that I noticed.

Wondering what the approximate real world value of this rifle is?  Thanks for the help!

I have seen them on the EE from 1050 to 1250 depending on condition and the person selling. If you picked it up for under 1100 you did ok around where I live.

I agree, in a "non ban state" you might get the 1050 and in a "ban state" you might get the 1250.

Thanks for the info.  Picked it up for a real bargain because the guy was hard up.

Didn't purchase it to make a profit, I actually got it for my dad's birthday (he's always wanted a Colt AR) was just curios of the general value.  Bluebook value is north of $1300 I think, but I don't put much weight into those values.
