I am looking to start a tactical build and I have heard a ton of good things about LMT. I am looking to buy the lower now but I can't seem to find stripped LMT lowers is there a reason for this? One more question why LMT over rra, stag, cmmg? Thanks

LMT doesn't sell stripped lowers.  They do sell complete lowers.

Lauer Custom Weaponry's lowers are supposedly made by LMT and can be had stripped.

Why LMT?  Honestly I'm not as picky about lowers as I am uppers.  For uppers, I do think LMT makes one of the best offerings.  Lowers are all pretty much the same unless you find something out of spec or care a lot about the finish.

I've had bad luck with RRA but most of their customers are happy.

A lower is a lower is a lower, as long it is quality made who cares whose names on it.

The LMT upper is where the real quality of LMT products shine, IMO.

Save yourself a few bucks, buy a DPMS, Bushmaster, Stag, Doublestar or RRA lower and place an LMT upper on it.....

I agree with Mr Wilson. My go to gun I have is a LMT upper with a Global Tactical Lower. It has been my most reliable AR.

Why LMT?  The don't cut some of the corners other manufacturers do.

Here is why I chose LMT:  LMT Review

No regrets and would definately buy LMT again.

I looked at it this way when I bought my LMT lower with SOPMOD stock

$435 for LMT Defender 2000 lower with Ergo grip, ambi safety selector, and LMT SOPMOD stock

$435
-$250 sopmod
- $22 Ergo
- $33 ambi
- $70 LPK
_______
$60 for a lower

I like your math MV'! I'll have to use that "formula" when I give my Wife the next sales pitch on why I need another AR!

Go LMT all the way, here's my upper, lower, BUIS, CH with LMT M16 BCG

Some other brands includes commercial type larger outer diameter buffer tubes and later on if you decide to upgrade to a better stock, for example the LMT SOPMOD which have a smaller diameter opening, you'll have to replace your commercial size buffer tube with a Mil-spec size smaller diameter tube so it would fit.

I have an LMT upper on a GTS lower right now but I am thinking about getting an LMT lower to replace it and use the GTS lower on something else. Not that the GTS lower is not any good, as I have several GTS builds and think they are all great, I just would like to have one rifle that is not a mutt build for once After you figure all you get with the LMT lower it is really a pretty good deal.

Any forged lower as long as it is machined to the correct dimensions will do. However LMT means you are more likely to get it done correct the first time, and not have mag fitment issues, et cetera. Not saying you will with others but there is a reason they are a DOD supplier and other companies are not.

The two stage with sopmod is a great deal, you'll get a correctly put together complete lower, and also save some cash at the same time.

Just buy one of their assembled lowers.  Even if you get it with the standard M4 stock, it is still a great lower and a good value.  And it's assembled by pros.

LAUER CUSTOM WEAPONRY Lowers are now made by Superior however there are still some of the LMT made lowers about. I know for a fact that Cold War Shooters has the LCW LMT lowers.

Talk to Hector or Michelle the'll take good care of you or see www.coldwarshooters.net

You can pay almost 300 for a complete lower of another brand, or 330 for the LMT complete lower with M4 Stock.  Whats 30 bucks or so?  plus you get a mil-spec tube which is a bit more convenient when it comes to stocks.  RRA and Bushy have commercial tubes.

The LMT Gen II carbine stock is also the best made Gen II stock out there IMO. The one I had locked up just as tight as my SOPMOD and CTR...

I would go with the LMT lower if it has the SOPMOD stock. That make it an ok deal. I don't like paying $200 for the SOPMOD stock when I can get it for about $100 extra on a complete lower. My $.02...

Have a LMT LCW lower in a B.B.T. right now! Their web site has both LMT and Superior marked as LCW.

Does the finish on the LMT-made Lauer Custom Weaponry lowers match the LMT uppers?

Op, if you're interested in a fully assembled Lauer Custom (LMT) lower, I've got one on the EE for sale.

I looked at it the same way. Its Not a bad deal at all. And LMT would probably warranty it.

The complete LMT lower w/ 2-stage trigger and SOPMOD for $509 is a decent deal when you price the DIY way.  They represent the only 2 factory complete lowers I have.
