Can someone post a side pic of their cam pin (one that has at least 2,000 rounds on it). One of mine looks like it is in two pieces that were glued together I just want to make sure that I dont have a part that is about to go tits up on me. TIA.

-Thank you. I dont think it is anything big but I just want to make sure it has a uneven line all the way around it where it contacts the BCG. I have two AR and both have the same line on them but the gun in question has been very tight compaired to my Bushy and its line is a little deeper if you will. I dont want to hurt me or my gun. |

I consider it ok. All my bolts have that wear pattern to some degree or another. The area prone to cracking on the cam pin is on the sides of the hole, not the body of the pin it self. Keeping an eye on component wear patterns and performing a good visual inspection of your rifle during cleaning is one reason why I preach about performing good PMCS on your rifle! So many members here think it’s a bragging point to state how fast they clean their weapon. Or how they don’t clean it at all. |
