A guy on my team has a Phantom flash suppressor on his M-4. The model suppressor he has is the one with no bottom port.

My question is how do you time the suppressor so that the part with no port faces downward? All of my barrels came preassembled

Thanks

The FH is "timed" with the missing bottom port at the 6 o'clock position by using either the standard peel washer of a crush washer between the FH and the barrel shoulder.

I read on here somewhere about using a popsicle stick to help in alignment with the birdcage hider.
The ports on the phantom are thin so I used a folded postit. Just go slow till you reach the 6 o'clock position as Russ4777 mentioned.
