Well guys, here's my newest lightweight build...almost complete.  I'm on the backorder list and still waiting on the new Geissele SSA 2-stage trigger from ADCO.

It has an Essential Arms lower, DPMS A3 upper, ARMS #40 BUIS and an EOTech 512 sight.  The bolt and carrier are LMT as is the SOPMOD stock.  It also has a CMMG 14.7" lightweight barrel with a permanent A2 FH.

So whats it weigh?

I realize the sopmod stock is great but for a light weight build would a standard stock have been lighter?

Good looking gun, congrats

I'm not sure...I need to find a set of scales to weigh it.  It is significantly lighter than my friend's Bushmaster M4 (16" M4 barrel with a removable A2 carry handle and M4 synthetic buttstock).

It's a great rifle.  The only problems that I've had are a couple of feed failures, which I believe are due to the magazine that I was using.  About every other time, on the 29th round, the rear of the case wouldn't be lifted up high enough, and the bolt/carrier would ram the round into the feed ramps, leaving two deep dents in the side of the case and the round jammed up against the barrel extension.  The case came out looking like this:

The magazine is a C-Products from Model 1 Sales, with the regular grey follower.  Not sure if that one's anti-tilt or not...apparently it isn't.  I'm thinking that the follower tilted, causing the failure.  Going to be upgrading the springs and followers soon.
