I know this has been discussed before but can anyone tell me if Colt is selling their AR's to the public or is it just to Law Enforcement. I see some places have the LEO AR for sale. Can they sell these to the public??

Technically, Colt doesn't sell to the public, but to distributors, who are happy to do so.
The LEO roll marks are a carry-over from the ban days, but are legally meaningless now.

If you go to gunbroker.com and search on model numbers like 6920, 6721 etc you will find many Colt Ar's for sale. The LE only guns are legal to the public now days.

+1 Yes, Colt LE ARs could be sold to the public since the end of the AWB.

I bought my Colt 6721 in early '05 when they were in short supply, my local dealer ordered it for me, it took my dealer a long time but the wait was worth it.

NEV where in NV are you? There are tons of shops around Las Vegas selling them stamped with the LEO stuff. The best price I have seen tho is at CDNN. They sell the 9mm one with 2 mags, the heavy barrel one and the Colt 6920 M4 model $1299.99 and $1399.99 respectively. 10 bucks shipping. If you can find a better price then go for it man!

Esq1118 I am in Reno. Thank you for the information. I have several AR's. Colt AR-15A2, AR-15A2 Gov't carbine, Law enforcment carbine (6920). I was asking because I was thinking of picking up another, but have not seen any in the Reno area for sometime, that were in NIB condition. Thank you again.
