after reading all 59 threads on triggers using the search function, i could not find enough info th satiate what i was looking for as far as the good brands of adjustable triggers.

im building a 20 inch rifle for long range/varmint shooting, its a 20 inch RRA upper, YHM rail, CMT bolt assembly, and just ordered a magpul PRS stock. what im looking for is a nice trigger that is an adjustable one so it has a short trigger pull. this would not be a SHTF or backup rifle as i have a few other rifles that handle those duties. most of them i keep KISS and so this is hte one that im going to spend some $$ on. as for the price range i want to keep it at or under 200 and would prefer the 150 range. going to be using KNS 2nd gen pins to secure it.

thanks

You could buy a used KAC 2 stage for under $200 but not $150.  If you want mine you can IM me.  If I took the time to take photos and list in in the EE I'd probably ask more for it.

KAC is adjustable via 2 screws.  Geissele via 3.  What do you want to adjust?  What do you want it to do?  Both those trigers run about $280 new.  Geissele can be adjusted from under 1 pound to over 5 pounds and I run mine at 3.5 pounds.  KAC has a 3.5 or 4.5 total weight options.

If you have a questions regarding install/tuning of the KAC who will you speak with when you call KAC?

I purchased a Geissele - my first match trigger - installed it myself and tuned it also. When I called to ask a few questions guess who I spoke with...the guy who designed the trigger. Can KAC match that - I don't think so.

PS - Geissele triggers come with excellent and detailed instruction also.

Yes, Bill is a great guy.  Geissele triggers are in two of my three carbines, the third is in the works according to Bill.  Cannot recommend them enough!

Stay away from JARD.  I got used to mine, but I am sure there are better out there.

My first was a Jewell, my second a Millazzo and my third a Geisselle.  The Jewell is a nice trigger, the Millazzo is a very nice trigger, but the Geisselle is a great trigger.  I know Charlie Millazzo personally, and I hate to say it, but the new one is the new king.  All three of these are two-stage, match triggers.  I don't have an opinion on single stage triggers, 'cause I ain't got one.

+1 for the JP complete fire control set.  Use over size pins for the most precise, and repeatable trigger operation. IMHO, this is the nicest single stage adjustable out there.  Not a drop-in but quite easy to install and setup.

quick review of the Geissele DMR trigger FWIW. If you go with the Geissele I would use the pins they provide
