I have a RRA lower that I mounted a BM Upper to.  It is a very tight fit and I get quite a few FTF.  Mounted on a BM lower no problems.  I saw a pic where someone took a dremmel to a RRA lower to fit another company's upper, is this pretty standard with the RRA lowers?  Any input appreciated.  Thanks.

FTFs are most likely mag related, are you lubing the rifle good enough.Unless the lower or upper is not machined right I cant see FTFs happening just because the lower is tight. If your rifles firing I take it you can close the upper and lower.I would check the mag as most malfunctions in the rifle can be atributed to the aluminum mag the weak link in the system.Does the mag drop free?bent feedlips?I would lube well and then see.It is common for RRA lowers to be tight and eventualy the upper will get easier to pivot and you should have a rock solid fit for a long long time while it gets easier to open.I dont like real tight fit because it defeats the purpose of having a rifle that was designed to not need tools to take down.

10-4 on the tight fit.  I tried different mags and it would shoot one round then I would have to hand cycle the next.  What gets me is that when I used a different lower, no problems.  Also, I tried out another upper that was a RRA and it worked in the RRA lower with no issues, same mags and all.  Anyhow, just thought I would put it out there see if anyone has had or is having similar issues.  Thanks for the input.
