I'll gues I'll try again on this: Will the Chip McCormick trigger go into this rifle? I have them in all my ARs and DPMS 308s and love them. Do I need the .170" pins or .154" pins? Thanks I hope

The CMC trigger modules are definitely available for small pin receivers and large pin receivers commonly found in Colt AR15 rifles made from the mid '90's on. However, Colt's with sear blocks will not accept the trigger module. The sear block impedes installation. CMC Staff |
The high web behind the trigger group is to prevent an auto sear installation but looks just like the lower receiver in the SGN add for your trigger units? I looked at my BushMaster lower beside the Colt and it looks like the unit will go in and not go back far enough to reach the web?? I tought the sear blocks were thick and pinned in the Colts? Someone here awhile ago said it was a high web and not a sear block? Need some more input please.

A sear block is a hunk of steel pinned into the receiver so a sear OR a F/A bolt carrier could not be installed, a high web is where some of the material is not machined where the F/A sear group would go. Two different things. |

I just ordered a large pin version of the chip mccormick trigger for my 6920. I'll let you know how it goes. Big River Tactical's price was $155 Website said they were out of stock but I called and was happy to find out that they actually had 5 (now 4) in stock. |

The demo lower for a Chip McCormick trigger at a local shop was recent production Colt, and the trigger module fit just fine. Having read the same McCormick ad that you did, I had my doubts that it would work. The trigger pull was quite good; light, and usually crisp. Moon |
