| Its been a while since i have had an AR15. But from what I remember, on the bottom side of the bolt, where the hammer strikes the firing pin, there is 2 ridges that I dont remember being there. from what I remember, they were not there on my M-16 or my AR-15. Anyone have any comments on this? Hopefully I explained what im talking about on the bolt. |

yea, that is supposed to prevent illegal conversion to full auto. The notch cut out in your hammer is supposed to catch the exposed firing pin to prevent the slam fire. It does not work. I had a disconector fail with these so called "safe" carrier/hammers and I let out a 5 round burst. All that is good for is beating up the rim of your firing pin. |

Yep THANK GOODNESS Colt is shipping out M16 type bolt carriers now with their LE series that is available to the public. I was ecxcited to get one with my new LE6920. All my other ARs have M16 type carriers as well. I prefer the extra weight and reliability over the various "PC" types". |
