You are considering one of the finest AR's on the market today.  The 6920 is all that you need to have:  high quality, all of the "good" features (F-Marked FSB, park-under-FSB, feedramps, etc, etc), and it's got the cachet and resale value of a Colt.

I've heard of some guys getting em for $ 1175, but I paid $ 1242 total from
knesekguns.com.  I'd say get the 6920 ASAP, Larry over at Knesek was saying Colt won't be coming out with a new batch until 2008.  I'm saving up for the Colt 9mm next and then the Colt 6520. Good luck.

I bought from Knesek through a local dealer.
$1250 about 2 years ago.

Closest thing in quality to what I carried in the army (my M16A2 was a Colt too.)

I highly recommend the 6920.

I picked up a 6920 from Larry Knesek in June.  $1184 delivered...LEO/Mil pricing.

Just ordered a 6920 form Clyde Armory, they had them in stock. They were very nice over the phone. Now I just have to wait for my FFL to get back into town so they can ship. This is so addictive...

Instruct your local FFL NOT to break the seal on the box. You should do that, in their presence.
There are lots of small accessories, incluiding either 1 30 or two 20 round COLT magazines that come with it. You would not want those to walk away.

And dont buy the BS about checking the serial on the rifle, it's on the outside of the box which is sealed from the Colt factory. My dealer let me break the factory seal.

It's like the first time....never mind.

Thats not BS. I log guns in every day and have had factory labels be wrong before. It doesnt happen often, but it happens. Last one was a HK UPS 45, about 8 months ago. Factory label on the box did not match the number on the gun. Had to call the distributor who called the factory etc. until it all got cleared up. But stuff happens and it is simply the responsible thing to check. If you're afraid of your dealer swiping items from in the box, I suggest maybe finding another dealer.

Im not saying there is a law saying your dealer HAS to open the box. But it should be checked before it leaves the store. There's lots of people who want to "beak the seal" on their gun... And thats their right. When I get desirable guns in (including our Colt AR's), I will open one to display, and keep the others sealed for the "factory seal" guys. But I wont let the gun leave the store until they open the box and we check the number.

"Factory seal" guys can call us anal for doing that if they want. All I can say to them is, something about pots, kettles, and the color black!

Oh yeah, and great rifle. Get one while you can. VERY few people who get them regret it.

All I know, is I really appreciated my FFL letting me break the seal on my new Colt!

I probably never had much choice on the breaking the factory seal thing, but they would have my beef if they broke the seal on the acc kit. No reason for that.

Adco has them for $1300.  Pay $100 more and support bigbore.  He's one of the most valuable contributers to this site.
