Picked up an A1 carbine with a PWA 5 digit lower today Thanks, Mike pics to follow |
Yeah, I agree. I don't see how that would make it less valuable. The guy in this thread has a pic of an A1 PWA lower: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=346265 |

The moderator and site staff used to insult and threaten banishment and deletion of the retro forum. Here is an example: archive.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=123&t=312623&page=1 In reaction quite a few of the members now take it upon themselves to "self police" that forum. |

If that PWA lower is pre-ban (serial below 35222), the lower is worth around $450 stripped in a ban state such as NY or CT. If you are a generous guy, you can trade for two new stripped lowers of your choice in the NY lower trade thread. tinyurl.com/2t5feg |
Yes it is under 35222 and sorry but I will not be selling this, especially thru this board lest I suffer the wrath of the retro forum |

Ya I see that Ask for a little info and get slapped around. Oh well, like I said before it got locked [arnold] I WON'T be back [/arnold] Internally this little carbine is very clean, doesn't look to have been shot much at all. The receiver extension seems to be the same 5 pos. mil spec like I got from DSA or is it DSG I can't remember now. The CAR body is a commercial size and flops around bad. That will be replaced with a VLTOR I have on the way. Have an A1 grip on the way also for it. Hate the spike on the A2. For now I've swapped it out with an A2 that I've ground the spike off of. The handguards were unlined, I've swapped those out for a set with single linings. Maybe a front tritium sight and I'll call it good, should be a great carbine for the truck. I know the ban state guys don't want to hear that. But I don't tend to sell my weapons, and if I do, it won't be here on arfcom. Mike |
it doesn't matter the serial number, the question??? Was it registered on a 4473(excise tax) as a rifle or AR pistol before the AWB date, if not it's just another lower. |

Did you read the thread ? And no, I'm not bragging. Did I intentionally make my post to break the Retro CoC.....No First reply to my post was a hot link to the CoC instead of a friendly reminder that this type of post is frowned upon in this forum. When I tried to explain myself all I got was ya sure, you're fishing, ect. |
I read the entire thread. He asked a question and was referred to the CoC of the Retro forum which appears to be more strict than the rest of the Forums. He had the opportunity to change his thread to conform to the CoC. The moderators felt the thread was still in violation and locked his thread. I don't think the lock was because of the link to the Code of Conduct or the way he thinks he was treated. |

I guess that is why the same 12 people keep posting over there.
