What year did they change from marking thier lowers just "B.F.I." to putting on the snake logo? I have an old A1 style lower with B.F.I. and am curious as to it's approx. age. Serial # is AHF 0XX in case someone can help me out. Thanks! |

Used to be that when you ordered a lower from them, you got a Essential Arms casting A1. I believe this stopped in 1990, when they began selling their A2 forged lower....which was made for them by LAR; IIRC. I ordered a complete A2 rifle from them in spring of '91 and the new A2 lower was part of the deal. BTW, the upper I got was a hybred A2 with a full heavy, full chrome, full fluted 20" carbon steel barrel. Best shooting AR I've ever owned !!! |
