What complaints, if any, do you all have against armalite rifles? I am looking at the AR15 A2CBA2. Is armalite considered top of the line?

My only complaint is I don't own more of them.

Great Quality, Perfect finish, Sub MOA, and Kick butt customer service.   You really can't go wrong for the price.

Good Luck.

I have a 20 inch chrome-lined upper I shoot on an RRA lower.  It shoots most ammo 1.5 MOA.  I'm pissed that its not .5 MOA!

The Illinois State Police seems to like them fine.  They use them exclusively.  My pistolsmith is at Armalite.  The only thing he ever says bad about them is the obsession with getting .gov contracts.  The guns are great.

The only complaint I have about Armalite is that they aren't less expensive so I can own more of them.

Good point.  I've heard that, too.

So you want to know, well I fired some 500 rounds over the last year, mostly wolf and now working on M855, cleaned the M15A4SPR for the first time, with a little Hoppes #9 and CLP, did not remove the firing pin, but used some qtips, dang thing cleaned up and was shinney in all the right places,  only problem I've encountered is that at 100 yards with a cross wind w/ gusts of 20mph, I can only hold 6 in groups.

I own three and I have no complaints. I have a 20" A2, a 16" midlength flat top and a AR10 A2 carbine. They have all ran great and are accurate rifles when I do my part.
My first was the AR10 and I was happy enough with it that I bought the other two  when I was able to afford them.

Editited to say that the only complaint that I would have is that I don't have the time and money to take them to the range and shoot them like I used to be able to do.

I have had an M-15 A4 Carbine and it is amazing!  I wish that I had a few more.  In fact, I'm trying to sell a Bushmaster Target Model that I've never shot in order to finance my next Armalite!

Thanks for the comments guys.

You know, there's a natural tendency for bad news to travel farther and faster than good, and it's really great to hear from friends.

It's a very competitive market out there, and ArmaLite's strategy isn't to build the cheapest rifles in the market, but to provide the best value with high quality and technical improvements.  Sometimes it's hard to sell that emphasis.  So we just build em like we want our own rifles to be and watch folks copy us.

When I worked as a Ford sales rep I belive that the figure was 1:7 when it came to the prevalence of people mentioning a good thing that occured vs. a bad thing that occured. Don't hold me to that number, as it was not something I drilled into my brain, but I belive that is it and for sure the study that was conducted indicated a MASSIVE amount of bias of people to mention the bad over the good.

I don't even HAVE an AR (although dad has half a dozen that I take out from time to time) and I am still a major fan of Armalite. Seems that they care about the customer and actually talk to us! Christmas is coming soon
