Just picked up 2 Stags, one model 2 and one 2L model. My buddy has the model 2 and we took them to the range and were going to pop off a few. We did not clean/lube them, but shot them straight outta the box. His trigger kept "locking" up on him. He would fire a few shots then all of a sudden he could not pull the trigger, it was almost like the safety was on. We then decided to lube it up real good, it seemed to improve SOME, but it still kept locking up (Keep in mind this was ony with 30 rounds). So we packed it up and came back. What could the problem be? I ran 30 in mine and I did not have any hiccups. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!!

I would first go home clean them real good from head to toe. Make sure nothing is in the trigger that shouldnt be.  Lube them up real good and then take it back out.

I would guess that it just needs a good cleaning and some lube. It might just be sticky from not being shot and lubed.

ETA: if it still does not work and nobody here can help you out send that bad boy back. Hope all turns out well.

Hammer follow?

I can't really think of another reason - lubed or not, that would cause a trigger to not
appear to disengage. Other than grotesquely out of spec parts. (which does happen...I
had an M16 hammer that would allow the disconnector to function.)

Just my own M.O. here, but I wouldn't shoot anything right out of the box.  Strip it, inspect it, function check and lube, then bang bang.

10-4, thanks guys! We gave it a good bath and then went back and popped off 30 more with no hiccups. Thanks again!
