I am about to start my first duracoating attempt.

I have filled in the markings in my lower with crayon. If I duracoat over them, I was wondering if I will be able to remove the crayon/duracoat from the markings with a toothpick. I think that will be a nice touch to have the original markings in black.

Is this doable?

Remove toe crayon before you coat your AR. When you pick it out later, it could cause flaking and cracks around you roll marks.
