Hello people.
I'm in the search for a new AR upper and was wondering what the census on Stag Arms is.  I have never handled one but, the price seems right.  The questions I have;
Is the bore and chamber chrome lined? Yes.
What steel is used in the barrel? 4140 or 4150?
Is the barrel Govt. profile or HBAR?
Does the barrel and upper have true M-4 feed ramps or the Dremel variety?
Is the twist 1/9 0r 1/7?
Overall quality and performance for those with experience. Thank you in advance people.
Pete

Stag-15 Model 2H Pre-Ban
Caliber....5.56 Nato Chamber
Upper......Forged and Mil Spec.
Sights..... MI ERS/Front Post
Barrel.....16" Chrome Lined 1/9
Twist
Break......A2 Flash Hider

My experience is that Stag Arms makes a very nice upper. It fits & functions flawlessly on several different lowers, and shows very good accuracy.

Bore/Chamber chrome lined: Yes
Steel: 4140
Profile: Govt.
Feedramps: None
Twist: 1/9

Overall I am very satisfied with mine as I have yet to have a hiccup (no FTF or FTE).  I run a Ciener kit in mine as well and have had no issues there either.  As for accuracy it can shoot better than I can and the finish is excellent.  Should an issue arise Stag will treat you well since their CS is top notch.  You won't be disappointed.

My 20" model 4H has a heavy barrel, they don't advertise the fact they use heavy profile. It's a good upper. For some reason beyond my understanding the don't use an "F" marked front sight base requireing their customers to buy a .040 taller front sight pin from Bushmaster or Brownell's. They do have 1/9 twist thank goodness, as they are becoming harder to find with the current 1/7 craze.

As I understand, the F marked front sight base issue was corrected sometime earlier this year and all current production FSB's from then til now are good to go.  I bought a Stag carbine upper a few years ago that was F marked but needed a taller front sight post.  I suppose after all the complaints it was corrected.

I love my stag upper, I would definetly trust my life with it.  Zero problems at all.  The only thing is that the BCG that came with it was pretty rough, and wasn't that smooth.  Some slight buffing, and a few thousand rounds later and now it's smooth as butter!  Handles all ammo I've fed it, including wolf.
