Hello I was looking at getting one of the RRA NM triggers. However I was told that they are not all that reliable. I am wanting a match trigger for one of my SHTF guns. I would like said trigger to be just as reliable as the gritty, heavy, standard trigger that comes with your standard off the shelf AR. I do not have the money to drop over $150 on such a trigger. Is there one out there that fits my budget? If not what would be the closest one in my price range. TIA. I would like one that does not have set screws and the like as this is going to go on my SHTF gun and reliability is first and for most. TIA for any help and insight that you can provide.

If you can wait a bit Geissele will be coming out with a non-adjustable 2 stage Combat trigger very soon. We are in the process of taking pre-orders here. (cards are not billed till unit is shipped)
At $145 you get the toughness and reliability of a Geissele, for around the price of regular match triggers. Damn, sounds like an advertisement................but i am excited.

-Is your name Steve? I tried to IM someone in the EE and it said that they were not taking IM's. So I ended up emailing steve. If you are Steve check youe email.  And how long of a wait are we talking on these triggers? Anything good or bad with the RRA NM beffed up triggers you guys are selling. Whats the difference between the two. Give me the 411 on these triggers and why this one is better than the RRA nm. TIA.

Some people prefer single stage triggers for a SHTF gun; if that's the case for you, you might consider the JARD triggers. I have several and they've proven to be quite reliable and they're right in line with your budget.

I have 6 AR15s and am running a Jewell 2-stage in the long range AR and 5 RRA 2-stage triggers in the others.

Unlike your comments I have found the RRA triggers in my 5 ARs to be very reliable and IMO the more rounds thru these rifles the smoother my RRA triggers get.

Big difference between $80 for a RRA 2-stage and the prices of others; most of which do not have the "time in the business" of the Jewell and the RRA.

Agreed.  I find my RRA trigger to be uber-reliable.  Granted, I don't do all the things the high-speed operators do, but it's never once failed.  The pull is light and the break is crisp.  What more could I ask for?  MJD

Your stock trigger can be worked at around 1/5th the price and be very reliable. 3 or 4lbs pull with no creep. It all depends on what your looking for, a good all around trigger pull for target, hunting, SHTF etc would be a pull in the 4lbs area. There are numerous aftermarket trigger available starting at ~ $80 on up.

+1 on the "how long until the geissel combat trigger comes out?"  I think I may want to go that route.

Any ideas?
