Hello all. I just got myself a Ciener Kit last week and I oiled and cycled the bolt few hundred times to smooth out the surface. I took it to the range yesterday and tried it out. For whatever reason, I am getting a lot of FTF's. I looked at the catridges that FTF'd and I noticed lighter primer strikes compared to the ones that fired. Should I get a new recoil spring? If I do, is the Marlin M60 recoil spring as good as the lakeside spring?

I have a BM XM15 with 14.5" barrel, and I was shooting Federal Automatch ammo.

Have you tried different ammunition with the kit?  Some like one type, but not another.

You also might want to post this in the rimfire forum as you might get some better visibility there.

Try some different ammo and let us know how it runs then.

Good luck!

I'd try different ammo first. CCI mini mags seem to run the best. Federal bulk packs run very well in mine too, also the Blazer runs good too. Stay away from Remington bulk, they cause a lot of jams in mine.

Heres some info that address light strikes a little.
