I want an AR-15 chambered in .25TCU. I tried to contact AR15barrels.com about it but only got an automated email saying they aren't doing custom barrels right now. So who else does custom AR barrels without charging an arm and a leg? I posted this in the Build It Yourself forum but didn't get an responses.

Marty at Teppu Jitsu perhaps, or Kurt Wala of Kurt's Kustom would be the two others I'd check with.

If you want a custom barrel, and you want it done right, you can expect to pay big bucks.  If you can supply the reamer it might help.

The barrel doesn't have to be anything special. It just has to be custom because no one makes a .257 cal AR barrel. So it needs the barrel extension and gas port. I don't require a $400 barrel blank be used. Before I contact these guys I'll give my gunsmith a call since he does AR15 work from time to time. I just don't know if he drills gas ports. The reamer isn't really an issue there's plenty of places that rent them.
