Has anybody used the AR-Restor? Does it replace the spring as well or does it just substitute the piston?

Just the piston - I too am considering one of these.

I recently purchased one for my 6.8SPC.  It works great.  The rifle barely moves.  Whether or not it was because of the Enidine, is hard to tell, but I think it was worth the money.

I have one that is supposedly the newest version.  It does reduce recoil, and makes it easier to shoot multiple fast shots, but it sometimes it doesn't hold open the bolt after the last round.  In it's defense, i'm mostly shooting cheap American Eagle.

I had this problem with Wolf and opened the gas port a couple thousandths.  It was fine after that.

I have one on my RRA middy and I quite happy with it.  I wasn't looking for recoil reduction but rather I wanted it to 'quiet' the muzzle movement so I can see my hits with my 12x scope at 300yds.  It works great. I don't have any problems with last round lockback either.

I have one in three of my fixed, rifle-length buttstock AR's and would buy them again. I don't believe the problems with the bolt not staying open on last shot has anything to do with the different buffer.

I'm pretty positive that my bolt not staying open is directly related to the Enidine.  When I put my original buffer in there, it stays open every time.  But, like I said, my ammo is probably a little underpowered which contributes to this.  It's not that big of a deal to me though since I'm shooting mostly for fun and not doing "tactical" reloads.  And, like the other poster said, it reduces 'muzzle flip' more than anything since recoil on an AR is already so light to begin with.
