How easy/hard is it to free float a Daniel Defense or Larue? I know I should have done a search or looked in one of the other forums. This is about the only thing that I have time for so I would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
D

Free floating a barrel is pretty easy.

There are a couple tools you will need though (to do it right).

Here is a link from the "Build it yourself" forum here on this site. LINK

Lots of people cut the delta ring, but I think it's better to do it the right way.

Good luck, make sure you post pics.

If you have the right tools it is not hard.  The DIY board has the info on how.
With the LaRue, you might need to modify your action block slightly to get it to work.
And I would highly recomend going with an action block as opposed to barrel clamps.

Thanks for all the help guys, especially seeing as it was a pretty dumb question when there is a "build it yourself" section here.

Thanks again,
