Here is my longe range shooting part2 after I got new accessories to my AR. The gun is still Bushmaster A3 rifle with 20" barrel. The new things I got JARD trigger Ultralight free float Picatinny rail on flat top Bigger charging handle Gas block Adapter to bipod http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00026-1.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00029.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00045-1.jpg So we went to the shooting range and did some longe range shooting. First 300m or 330yards: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00027.jpg View from IOR: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00028.jpg 69grs S&B Match did about MOA "groups". Here is the best 3.3inch well under MOA: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00030.jpg I shot also 69grs Federal Gold Match. Here is the group little bit over MOA: (Notice that all of the numbers are centimeters NOT inches!) http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00031.jpg Then we went to the 550m or 600yards: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00032-1.jpg At this point it started to rain and the wind was building up but I managed to shoot 5 shot group: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00033.jpg The "group" is about 12 inches which is about 2MOA which is quite good considering the weather which was pretty bad. My friend shoot with his TRG-42 338 Lapua Magnum about 5 minutes after me and didn't hit the target at all. That's how bad the weather was. Then we went to the 700m or about 770yards and this point the rain and wind stopped completely: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00034.jpg As you can see the target is between those trees hisSo I didn't expect any wonders when we walked to the targets. Here's what I found: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00036.jpg Four holes on the target. One missed. Other group: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l314/honohessu/DSC00037.jpg Again four on the target (there is also holes on the target from previous groups). There was lots of vertical difference but I think it was quite minimal considering the distance and the caliber. I'm quite happy how thw AR/Bushmaster performed. It has stock barrel the shooter ain't so goodhe Next time we go even furter and I make sure that all the rails is glued to the gun |
Unless a tornado touched down on the range, during a hail storm, your buddy missed the target because HE missed the target. Good shooting on your part though. |
That is IOR MP8 2,5-10x42
Good thing that we don't have tornados here in Finlandhe .
The scope base is pretty cheap I admit but it does its job (actually it didn't cos it came loose) but you know what I mean . |
Good! |
