designed for folks that don't want to or don't like to use a quad-rail.

Well there is the problem right there.

LOL, looking at the pictures I was planning on saying the exact same thing. Guess it is a common thought.

My rifle was issued with a rail system, I think most are now days, and if not, will be soon.

Yeah, most of us run YHM, sure-fire, and KAC rails, but we can't make the older guys at the shop understand why we would spend all that "wasted" money.

To remove the pictures from the internet and the idea from anyones mind? That is the only price I am interested in.

They look large and heavy. This are also other products out there that give you mounting options like this. Granted they don't use the bayonet lug, but they accomplish the same thing with less bulk.

+1, they look too imposing and heavy.  If you didn't want to use quad rails, why in the hell would you want to use that?

Same reason someone will weld two huge pieces of pipe to the front of their truck rather than buying a decent aftermarket bumper, cause bubba likes it and the cost of the good stuff takes too much out of his beer funds.

You're going to have to be scheduled for cultural diversity awareness classes.

I think you should slap your friend for tearing up a perfectly good bayonet like that, and yes, I am not a very culturaly diverse kind of guy.

Wow and I was just thinking the other day about how I could make my light feel twice as heavy as it is, while changing the point of impact due to excess weight on the muzzle.

Now I have an answer.

Yeah, I was going to hang a cinder block off of my barrel and tape a flashlight to it myself but then this thread appeared... Neato idea dude...

Hey, I got this great idea. It is a barrel wrench. If you are shooting to low you just bend the barrel up a bit with it....  ***SLAP**** NO ICE CREAM FOR YOU.....

I'm sorry to say but, worst idea ever

The few times I played with my bayo on an AR, it rattled and made a ruckus, two ingredients that should stay out of any rails
8/22/2007 2:49:26 PM EDT

Can't they just make some rails I can attach to my cleaning rod.
8/22/2007 4:25:39 PM EDT

That's so gross!  It's right up there with the cup the balls grip and the mount that attaches a glock to a picatiny rail.

Just label it as mil-spec or part of the new SOPMOD package and watch how many idiots buy...it should have a retractable front end so you can throw away your bayonet and carry that in the scabbard
8/22/2007 8:01:59 PM EDT
[#39]
Or a spring loaded blade inside....

(If any of you do that I want royalties)
8/22/2007 9:02:21 PM EDT
[#40]
Few questions: Why are the rails so far out from the center of the unit?  Why do they they have grooves down the middle?  Why doesn't he just clamp the rails to the barrel with a vise grip?  Wait, ignore that last question, I don't want to give your friend any ideas.

It's a personal peeve of mine to see pic rails with the center cut out.  You don't save that much weight doing it and it reduces the functionality.  One reason I will never own a XCR, but that's another thread.

Horrible idea.

See if your buddy can figure out a way to hold a beer can in that spot instead.  That's something that could be useful.

Sorry but that thing looks horrible and has no place in the AR15 parts market. Better things out there that do the same thing with less weight and bulk. I don't even like the YHM railed gas blocks but even they look better than this thing.

You can now use your weapon as a hammer,or.....fill it full of lead make a quick detatch for it so you can throw it at the enemy. Then they will pick it up and think, damn this is tacticool.Seriously ,someone should be slapped for making that thing.
